Abtract:Methacrylate-based materials are used daily in dental practice. Specialized publications report these materials as allergens with a high sensitizing potential. The present review of literature discusses the incidence, clinical manifestations, immunological mechanisms and methods of proving sensitization to dental acrylic compounds.
